The culitvation of vine in Beaujolais originates from Juienas and expamded during the Gallo-Roman era.  The name Julienas is derived from Julius Caesar, the Roman emperor.  Located on steep slopes, between 300 and 400m above sea level, the vineyard takes advantage of the coolness which is necessary to produce quality grapes.

Comment from the Winemaker
An explosion of red fruits given a beautiful structure by the vinification in whole bunches for this beautiful cuvee of Julienas

Lovely wine. Great weight, structure and subtlety of flavours. Will suit with food or without to simply enjoy. They won’t last long on the rack!
