Food: Merlot needs to be accompanied by some rich foods to help compliment the tannin structure in the wine. Grilled beef or Gorgonzola cheese.

Merlot is one of the first wine varieties ever grown and it continues to be a soft easy to drink wine. This Merlot has a beautiful earthy character on the nose, with soft berry fruits on the palate to compliment.

The four varieties grown by Mike Press are well suited to the Adelaide Hills climate, and merlot performs particularly well.. James Halliday
