Jamie’s Tasting Notes: Bright citrus acidity comes through upon opening, slowly softening into lemon curd as the wine opens up. The palate hits with punchy acidity out of the gate, before giving way to the smooth richness you’d expect from a Pinot Gris, with hints of custard apple and ripe pear. The finish is dry and lingers a moment longer than expected, with a subtle chalky undertone.
Josh’s Tasting Notes: Hand harvested and gently pressed to retain freshness and purity of fruit. The free run juice was fermented with a carefully selected yeast to enhance the wine’s floral character and build mid palate texture, while the pressings were barrel fermented and underwent malolactic fermentation, adding richness and complexity. The result is a Pinot Gris with more than just fresh fruit and acidity. Aromatic and lifted, with floral notes and ripe pear, the palate has genuine texture and weight, with a supple, creamy mid palate leading to a fresh, savoury finish.
